Project Description

Baylor BRIC

Baylor Research and Innovation Collaborative’s design and construction team needed a highly-skilled and reliable mechanical contractor to provide the backbone infrastructure for a new, 340,000 SF state-of-the-art research facility located in a 21-acre research and discovery park. Project stakeholders Baylor University, Texas State Technical College, and local government organizations formed a coalition to transform Waco’s former General Tire Manufacturing Plant into a cutting-edge research enterprise that will become a pillar in Greater Waco’s 21st century economy. Lochridge Priest’s expertise in mechanical and plumbing construction and service paved the way for university and industry research partnerships, small-business incubators and workforce training and education programs housed in this complex to bring forth a brighter future for our community.
